SKATING PARTICIPATION: Racer, freestyle and dance. Skated 2 AOW championships (Twin Cities NJ) and 2 National: 1949 Minola, NY and 1950 Pasadena, Ca..competed frequently in AOW races at many NJ AOW rinks 1948 thru 1950
DISCUSS YOUR SKATING REMEMBRANCES:
Was taught racing skills by Stan Pumphrey and Willie Winstead. Obtained Bronze Dance Judgeship in early 1950 from George Apdale, USARSA. Only had one Judge assignment for Bronze dance contest in Richmond, Va early 1950. After 2 years of Amateur skating, gave up status to become a floor guard at National Arena where I worked from 1952 thru 1955 with other guards such as John Bowers, John Prendable, Jorja Spillars, Bill Mills, Tony Rizzo, Eddie Babashan, and my 1st cousin, Emory Kain.

PAST RESIDENCES: Washington DC, McLean, Va
CHILDREN AND GRAND CHILDREN?: 4 children now aged between 42 and 52 and 10 grandchildren
DISCUSS PAST, PRESENT AND FUTURE INTERESTS AND ENDEAVORS:
Now enjoying the quiet retirement life in a Floriday Community with a new partner, Carol. We like Karaoke, playing cards, dancing, an occassional casino trip and our motorhome for travel. My favorite hobbies are Senior slow pitch softball and water volley ball.
